- From Hudhayfa, who said: I went to the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) and prayed with him the Maghrib prayer. He prayed until he performed the Isha prayer, then he turned away, and I followed him. He heard my voice and said: "Who is this, Hudhayfa?" I replied, "Yes."
He said: 'This is an angel who has never descended to earth before this night. He asked his Lord for permission to greet me and to give me glad tidings that Fatimah is the Mistress of the Women of the Paradise, and that Hassan and Hussein are the leaders of the youth of the Paradise.'" Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi narrated this, and he said it was Hasan gharib (good but strange), and Abu Hatim narrated a similar meaning.
- And from him, it was narrated: We saw the face of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) radiating with joy.
He said: "And why should I not be joyful, when Gabriel has come to me and given me glad tidings that Hassan and Hussein are the leaders of the youth of the Paradise, and that their father is better than them?" This was narrated by Abu Ali Ibn Shadhan,
and from Ibn Umar in a similar manner, except that he said, "and their father is better than them."-
And from Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say, 'Hassan and Hussein are the leaders of the youth of the people of Paradise.'" Ibn al-Samman narrated this in al-Muwafiqah, and Umar said something similar. This was recorded by the author of Fada'il Umar.

And from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), that he said: "Hassan and Hussein are the leaders of the youth of the Paradise," except for the sons of the two maternal aunts, Jesus, son of Mary, and John, son of Zachariah. Abu Hatim, al-Mukhlis al-Dhahabi, and others narrated this.
