Hadith No: 1
Al-Isbahani - Tarikh Isbahān = Akhbar Isbahān - Chapter on the Letter Yā
Yazid ibn Mardanbayh, originally from Isbahān, settled in Kufa

- Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, saying: Bshar ibn Musa narrated to us. And Suleiman ibn Ahmad narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn Abdul Aziz narrated to us, both saying: Abu Na'im narrated to us, saying: Yazid ibn Mardanbayh narrated to us from Abdul Rahman ibn Abi Naam from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Hasan and Husayn are the leaders of the youth of the inhabitants of Paradise."

1741 - Abu Bakr ibn Malik narrated to us, saying: Ishaq ibn al-Hasan al-Harbi narrated to us, saying: Abu Nu'aim narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Na'm narrated to me, from my father, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the leaders of the youth of the people of Paradise." This was also narrated by Abu Nu'aim from al-Hakam ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Na'm, from his father, from Abu Sa'id, and by Abu Nu'aim from Yazid ibn Mardanba from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Na'm, from Abu Sa'id. Both Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad and Yazid ibn Mardanba narrated from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Na'm, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri. Safwan ibn Sulaym narrated it from Ata ibn Yasar, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, and al-A'mash narrated it from Atiyya, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri.

1742 - Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Katib narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadrami narrated to us, saying: Jumhur ibn Mansur narrated to us, saying: Sayf ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu al-Juhaf, and from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Abu Hazim from Abu Huraira: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say: 'Al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the masters of the youth of the people of Paradise.'" And Muhammad ibn Ubayd al-Hamdani narrated it from Sayf ibn Muhammad, from Sayf ibn Muhammad, from Sufyan, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), similarly.

1771 - Habib ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, saying: al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn al-Walid narrated to us, saying: Faydh ibn al-Wathiq narrated to us, saying: Uthman ibn Matar al-Shaybani narrated to us, saying: Thabit al-Bunani narrated from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the leaders of the youth of the inhabitants of Paradise."

7905 - Abu Bakr ibn Khalad narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ghalib narrated to us, saying: al-Husayn ibn Atiyyah al-Bazzar narrated to us, saying: Isra'il narrated to us from Maysarah ibn Habib, from al-Minhāl ibn 'Amr, from Zur ibn Hubaysh, from Hudhayfah, who said: My mother said, "When was your last meeting with the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)?" I replied, "I have not had any meeting with him for such and such time." So, I went to him (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) while he was praying the maghrib (evening) prayer, and he said, "O Hudhayfah, did you not see the being that appeared?" I said, "Yes." He said, "That was an angel who came to me and gave me glad tidings that al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the masters of the youth of the people of Paradise, and that Fatimah is the mistress of the women of the people of Paradise." Isma'il ibn Ja'far narrated this from Isra'il.

Among the first generation of the Tabi'un - Shuraih ibn al-Harith al-Kindi

- .... A man from the people of Paradise whose testimony was not acceptable said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say: 'Al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the leaders of the youth of the inhabitants of Paradise.'" The Jew replied, "The Commander of the Faithful (Ali ibn Abi Talib) brought me before his judge, and his judge ruled against him. I bear witness that this is the truth. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and that the shield is yours. You were riding your grayish she-camel, (Jamal al-Aurq), and were heading towards Siffin when it fell from you one night, so I took it." He then went out to fight with Ali ibn Abi Talib against the Khawarij at Nahrawan and was killed.

- Abu Bakr ibn Khalad narrated to us, saying: al-Harith ibn Abi Usamah narrated to us, saying: Khalaf ibn al-Walid al-Juhari narrated to us, saying: Isma'il ibn Zakariya narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Nacm from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Hasan and Husayn are the masters of the youths of the people of Paradise," Al-Thawri and Hamza al-Zayyat narrated a similar report from Yazid. And Yazid ibn Mirdanayah narrated from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Nacm, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the masters of the youths of the people of Paradise."
