Ibn Abi Dunya - Hawatif al-Jinan - Chapter on the Voices of the Jinn

115 - Munthir ibn Ammar al-Kahili narrated to us, saying: Amr ibn Abi Muqdam informed us, and the jassasun told us that they used to hear the lamentations of the jinn over Hussein, may God's mercy be upon him:
The Messenger wiped his forehead, and he has a glow on his cheeks,
His parents from the noble ones of Quraysh, his grandfather the best of grandfathers.

116 - Suwayd ibn Sa'id narrated to me, saying: 'Amr ibn Thabit narrated to us, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit from Umm Salamah, who said: "I did not hear the wailing of the jinn over anyone since the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was taken until Hussein was taken. And I heard a jinn female lamenting":
"O eyes, pour forth tears with all your might, and who will weep for the martyrs after me * over a group whom death will lead to a tyrant in dominion, a servant of God.'"

117 - Muhammad ibn Ibad ibn Musa narrated to me, saying: Hisham ibn Muhammad narrated to us, and Abu Hayzum al-Kalbi narrated to us from his mother, who said: "When Hussein was killed, I heard a caller announcing in the mountains, saying:
"O people, you who killed Hussein, rejoice in torment and punishment!
All the inhabitants of heaven are invoking curses upon you, from every prophet, angel, and tribe.
You have been cursed on the tongues of Ibn Dawud, * Moses, and the bearer of the Gospel."

Ibn Abi al-Dunya - Al-Ishraf fi Manazil al-Ashraf
They heard the wailing of the jinn over al-Husayn: "The Messenger wiped his forehead... and he has a shimmer on his cheeks, his parents are from the exalted ones of Quraysh..."

409 - Abu Abdullah al-Taimi said: Ali ibn Abd al-Hamid al-Shaibani narrated to us from Abu Yazid al-Fuqaymi, who said: The mourners would hear the wailing of the jinn over al-Husayn whenever they went out in the early morning:
"The Messenger wiped his forehead and he has a shimmer on his cheeks;
his parents are from the exalted ones of Quraysh, and his grandfather is the best of grandfathers."
He said: So I answered them:
"They went as an envoy to him, and they are the worst of envoys; * they killed the son of a Prophet and resided in the Fire of Eternity."
