Al-Ajri - al-Shari'ah
Book of the Virtues of Hasan and Husayn (peace be upon them) - Chapter on the Mention of the Mourning of the Jinn for Husayn (peace be upon him)

1671 - And Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Ishaq ibn Zatiya narrated to us, saying: Al-Hasan ibn Arifah narrated to us, saying: Abu Hafs al-Abbar narrated to us from Isma'il ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Awdi from Abu Janab al-Kalbi, who said: When Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon them) was killed, the jinn mourned for him, and the following was preserved from their words:
"The Prophet wiped his forehead, and he has a sparkling tear on his cheeks; his parents are from the exalted ones of Quraysh, and his grandfather is the best of grandfathers."*

1672 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Dawud narrated to us, who said: I was informed by Ibad ibn Ya'qub al-Rawajini, who said: Abu Ziyad al-Fuqaymi informed us, from Abu Janab al-Kalbi, who said: The jurists (jassasun) used to go out to the cemetery when Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon them) was killed, and they would hear the weeping of the jinn as they said:
"The Messenger wiped his forehead, so he has a glimmer on his cheeks, his parents are from the exalted ones of Quraysh, and his grandfather is the best of grandfathers." (peace be upon them) Muhammad ibn al-Husayn رحمه الله said: It has been conveyed to me in a narration, the chain of which does not come to mind: that a group of people were on a journey and stopped at a location, and while they were having breakfast, a hand emerged to them with an inscription in it that said:
"Does a community that killed Husayn hope for the intercession of his grandfather on the Day of Resurrection?"
