The Grief of Angels for the Killing of al-Husayn (ra)

- Umm Salamah said: "When al-Husayn was killed, the angels mourned for him, and we were rained upon with blood." Ibn al-Sarri narrated this.
- And from her: "I heard the angels mourning for al-Husayn." Ibn al-Dahhak narrated this.
- And from her: "I did not hear the mourning of angels after the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) except on the night al-Husayn was killed." She said to the maidservant: "Go out, for by Allah, I see my son is not long for this world. Go out and ask." The maidservant went out, asked, and it was told to her: 'He has been killed.'" Al-Mulla narrated this in his sirah.

- .... And Hammad ibn Salamah said from Ammar ibn Abi Ammar from Umm Salamah: "I heard the jinn mourning over al-Husayn."
- .... And he said: Suwayd ibn Sa'id from Amr ibn Thabit from Habib ibn Abi Thabit from Umm Salamah: "I did not hear the mourning of the jinn since the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was taken, except tonight, and I do not see my son except that he has been killed" - meaning al-Husayn. She said to her maidservant: "Go out and inquire," and she was informed that he was killed, and then a jinn female began to mourn:
O eye, weep with all your might For who will mourn the martyrs after me?
Over a group whom death leads to me, from the best in the realm of a servant
- .... And Umar ibn Shabah said: Ubayd ibn Junad narrated to me, who said: Ata ibn Muslim
from Abu Janab al-Kalbi said: "I went to Karbala and said to a man from the nobility of the Arabs there: 'I have heard that you can hear the mourning of the jinn.' He replied: 'There is not a free person or a servant who would not tell you that he heard it.' I asked, 'What did you hear?' He said: 'I heard them say:'
The Messenger wiped his brow, and there is a glimmer on his cheeks
His parents are from the exalted ones of Quraysh, * and his grandfather is the best of grandfathers
