972 - Abdullah narrated to us, who said: My father narrated to me, from Abd al-Malik ibn Amr, who said: Qurat narrated to us, who said: I heard Abu Raja' say: "Do not curse Ali or the people of this house. If a neighbor of ours from the Banu al-Hujaym, who had come from Kufa, said: 'Did you not see this evildoer, son of an evildoer? Indeed, Allah has killed him,' referring to al-Husayn (peace be upon him).' Then Allah struck him with two stars in his eyes, and Allah blinded him."

Then God struck him with two stars in his eyes, and God made him blind. This was narrated by al-Tabarani, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

I replied, "No stone was lifted in Jerusalem except that there was fresh blood beneath it." Abd al-Malik then said to me, "I am indeed your equal in this narration." Al-Tabarani narrated it, and its narrators are trustworthy.
