2830 - Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal narrated to us, saying: Bakr ibn Khalaf narrated to us, saying: Abu Asim narrated to us. And Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadrami narrated to us, saying: Ibrahim ibn Sa'id al-Juhari narrated to us, saying: Abu Amir al-Aqdi narrated to both of them, from Qurrat ibn Khalid, who said: I heard Abu Ruja' al-Ataridi say: "Do not curse Ali or the people of this house, for a neighbor of ours from Balhajim said: 'Did you not see this transgressor, Al-Husayn ibn Ali? May Allah kill him.' So Allah struck him with two stars in his eyes, and Allah blinded him."

2831 - Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadrami narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Yahya al-Sufi narrated to us, saying: Abu Ghassan narrated to us, from Abd al-Salam ibn Harb, from Abd al-Malik ibn Kurdus from the doorkeeper of Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad, who said: I entered the palace behind Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad when he killed Al-Husayn, and he had fire blazing on his face. He said: "This is how I feel about you!" and gestured with his cup towards his face. He then asked, "Did you see (what happened)?" I replied, "Yes," so he commanded me to keep that a secret.

2832 - Muhammad ibn Abdillah al-Hadrami narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abdillah ibn Numayr narrated to us, saying: Abu Mu'awiya narrated to us, from al-A'mash from 'Umara ibn 'Umayr, who said: When the head of Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad and his companions was brought, it was set up in the courtyard, and I approached them as they were saying: "It has come, it has come." Then a serpent came, weaving between the heads until it entered the nostril of Ubaydullah. It stayed for a moment, then it exited and left. Then they said: "It has come," and it did this two or three times.

2834 - Narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadrami, who said: Yazid ibn Mehran Abu Khalid narrated to us, who said: Asbat ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Abu Bakr al-Hudhali from al-Zuhri, who said: "When Al-Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon him) was killed, no stone was lifted in Jerusalem except that it found fresh blood beneath it."

2837 - Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadrami narrated to us, who said: Abdullah ibn Yahya ibn al-Rabi ibn Abi Rashid al-Kahili narrated to us, who said: Mansur ibn Abi Nuwaira narrated to us from Abu Bakr ibn Ayash from Jameel ibn Zayd, who said: When Al-Husayn was killed, the sky turned red. I said, "What does this mean?" He replied: "The liar is a hypocrite. The sky turned red when he was killed."

2838 - Qays ibn Abi Qays al-Bukhari narrated to us, saying: Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, saying: Ibn Luheiah narrated from Abu Ma'i who said: "When Al-Husayn ibn Ali (RA) was killed, the sun eclipsed partially until the stars appeared at noon, and we thought it was indeed the end of the world."

2839 - Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadrami narrated to us, who said: Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to me, from my father, from my grandfather from Isa ibn al-Harith al-Kindi, who said: When Al-Husayn (peace be upon him) was killed, we mourned for seven days. Whenever we prayed the afternoon prayer, we would look at the sun on the edges of the walls, appearing like orange-tinted cloaks, and we would see the stars striking each other.

2841 - Narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadhrami, who said: Ahmad ibn Yahya al-Sufi narrated to us, who said: Abu Ghassan narrated to us, who said: Abd al-Salam ibn Harb narrated to us from al-Kalbi, who said: A man threw a stone at Al-Husayn while he was drinking, and it struck his jaw, causing him to fail in his sip. He then said: "May Allah not quench your thirst." Al-Husayn continued to drink until he was fully satisfied.

2849 - Ali ibn Abd al-Aziz narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Sa'id ibn al-Asbahani narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Ata ibn al-Sa'ib from Ibn Wa'il or Wa'il ibn Alqamah, who said: He witnessed what was there. He said:A man stood up and said: "Is there among you Hussein?" They replied: "Yes." He said: "Rejoice with hellfire." He replied: "Rejoice with a Lord who is Merciful and an Obedient Intercessor." The man asked: "Who are you?" He said: "I am the son of Juwayz or Huwayza." The man then said: "O Allah, drive him to the fire!" And a creature fled with him, and his leg became caught in the stirrup. He said: "By Allah, nothing remained on him except his leg."

2856 - Narrated to us by Ali ibn Abd al-Aziz who said: Ibrahim ibn Abd Allah al-Harawi narrated to me, and he said: Hisham narrated to us, from Abu Mash'ar, from Muhammad ibn Abd Allah ibn Sa'id ibn al-As from al-Zuhri, who said: Al-Hajjaj ibn Machraq said to me: "Which one are you if you inform me of what sign was present on the day Husayn ibn Ali was killed?" I replied: "No stone was lifted in Jerusalem except that underneath it was fresh blood." Al-Hajjaj ibn Machraq said: "I and you are like two equals in this narration."

2857 - Ali ibn Abd al-Aziz narrated to us, saying: Ishaq ibn Isma'il narrated to us, who said: Sufyan narrated to us. My grandmother, Umm Abi, mentioned to me, saying: Two men from the al-Ja'faiyyin witnessed the killing of Al-Husayn ibn Ali. She said: One of them was often mentioned until he would be wrapped in it, and the other would face the narrator with his mouth until he had gone through the last of it. Sufyan said: I saw the son of one of them, who appeared to be somewhat delusional and looked like a madman.

Then, the people of that household were afflicted with confusion, madness, limb loss, illness, and poverty.

2863 - Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadrami narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Yahya al-Sufi narrated to us, saying: Abu Ghassan narrated to us, saying: Abu Numayr, the uncle of Hassan ibn Shu'aib, narrated from Abu Hamid al-Tahhan, who said: "I was in Khaza'a when they brought something from the inheritance of Al-Husayn, and it was said to them: 'Should we sacrifice it or sell it and divide the proceeds?' He said: 'Sacrifice it.' So he sat on its trough, and when it was laid down, it emitted fire."

2864 - Zakaraya ibn Yahya al-Saji narrated to us, saying: Isma'il ibn Musa al-Suddi narrated to us, from Dhuwid al-Ju'fi, from his father, who said: When Al-Husayn (ra) was killed, a camel was plundered from his camp, and when it was cooked, it was found to be blood, so they tipped it over.

2873 - Zakariya ibn Yahya al-Saji narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Salih al-Asdi narrated to us, saying: al-Sarri ibn Mansur ibn Ammar narrated to us, from his father, from ibn Luheiya from Abu Qubayl, who said: When al-Husayn ibn Ali (ra) was killed, they severed his head and sat in the first resting place, drinking nabidh and waiting with the head. Then a pen made of iron appeared from the wall and wrote in a line of blood:
"Do you expect a people who killed Husayn * to receive the intercession of his grandfather on the Day of Judgment?"
So they fled and left the head, but then they returned.

2874 - Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadhrami narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Ghurak narrated to us, who said: Abu Sa'id al-Taghlabi narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Yaman, from an Imam of the Banu Sulaym from some elders of his that they engaged in a campaign against the Romans and settled in one of their churches, where they read in a stone that was inscribed:
"Does a group that killed Husayn * expect the intercession of his grandfather on the Day of Judgment?"
So we asked them how long ago this church was built, and they said: Three hundred years before your Prophet was sent." Abu Ja'far al-Hadhrami said, and Jundal ibn Waliq narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Ghurak, and then I heard it from Muhammad ibn Ghurak.
