- 'Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Hatem said: My grandfather, Muhammad ibn Ubaydullah ibn Marzuq, narrated to us, saying: 'Affan narrated to us, saying: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, saying: Hisham narrated to us from Muhammad, who said: "This redness in the horizons of the sky was not seen until Hussein ibn Ali (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was killed," and the bay horses did not cease to be seen in the military expeditions until Osman (may Allah be pleased with him) was killed.
