Satisfaction and recommendation of Holy Prophet (peace be on him and his progeny) for Abu Talib (peace be on him)

- .... And it is mentioned there that Abu Talib, when death approached him, called the Banu Abd al-Muttalib and said: "You will not cease to be in goodness as long as you hear from Muhammad and follow his command. So follow him and assist him, and you will be guided."

- And is the fabricated statement of al-Sha'bi far from what has been narrated with multiple chains, some of which are from Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib and others from Abu Bakr ibn Abi Quhafa: that Abu Talib did not die until he said, 'There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.'

- The well-known report is: that Abu Talib, at the time of death, said: "No, whatever is concealed," and his brother Abbas leaned in to listen to him.

- It is narrated from Ali that he said: "Abu Talib did not die until he gave the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) his approval."

- And how does this compare to what Ibn Sa'd mentioned in his Tabaqat: from Ubaydullah ibn Abi Rafi' from Ali, who said: "I informed the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) of Abu Talib's death, and he wept, then said: 'Go and wash him, shroud him, and bury him. May God forgive him and have mercy on him.'"

- Al-Barzanji said, as mentioned in Asna al-Matali: 35, that Abu Dawood, Ibn al-Jarud, and Ibn Khuzaymah narrated this and that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) only refrained from walking in his funeral to avoid the harm of the foolish ones of Quraysh, and his lack of prayer was due to the absence of the legitimacy of funeral prayers at that time....

4605 - "I asked my Lord not to let anyone from my family enter the Fire, and He granted me that," and in another narration, "So He granted me that." This is supported by what Ibn Abi Hatim reported from Ibn Abbas regarding Allah's statement, Almighty and Glorious be He: {And indeed, your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied} (Surah Duha 93:5), who said: "From Muhammad's satisfaction is that no one from his family will enter the Fire." It is understood that those meant by his family are the believers from Banu Hashim and Al-Mu'talib, or Fatimah, Ali, their two sons, or his wives. However, the compiler took it as a general statement and used it as evidence for the entrance of his parents into Paradise. He said: "The generality of the wording, even if it is subject to interpretation, is considered." He added: "Its explanation is that the people of the interim will be held in suspense until tested in the presence of the Sovereign, the Judge. Those who are destined for happiness will obey and enter the Gardens, while those who are destined for misfortune will disobey and enter the Fires." He mentioned that there is a narration in al-Hakim's report that suggests he hopes for the intercession of his parents, but it is only a matter of being guided at the time of the test.

39109 - "What I ask of them, meaning my parents, my Lord will grant me through them," and indeed, I will be standing on that day in the Praised Position, on the day when Allah descends onto His Throne, leaning upon it as a man leans from the constriction he feels due to the vastness between heaven and earth, and you will be brought to me barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised. The first to be dressed will be Ibrahim, and Allah will say: "Clothe My Friend," and he will be brought two white garments from the garments of Paradise, which he will wear. Then he will sit facing the Throne, and I will be dressed soon after him, so I will stand on the right side of Allah in a position that none else can occupy, one that will be a source of envy for both the first and the last. A river from al-Kawthar will be made to flow for me to my Pond, running with a substance of musk and sprinkled with plants whose stalks are made of gold and fruits of pearls and gems. Its drink will be whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Whoever drinks a sip from it will never feel thirsty again, and whoever is denied it will never be quenched thereafter.

- .... Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "I asked my Lord not to admit anyone from my family to the Fire, and He granted me that." Abu Sa'd and Mulla included this in their narrations on his biography.
- .... Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'O Allah, they are the descendants of Your Messenger. So forgive the wrongdoings of the one among them who does wrong to the one who does good, and grant them to me.'" He said that He did this and would continue to do so. I asked, "What did He do?" He replied, "He did it with you and will do it with those who come after you." Mulla narrated this.
- ....
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The first to intercede for on the Day of Resurrection from my Ummah will be the people of my family," then the closest, then the helpers, then those who believed in me and followed me from the people of Yemen, then the rest of the Arabs, and then the non-Arabs. The author of the book al-Firdaws narrated this.

- .... Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "The first from my nation for whom intercession will be granted on the Day of Resurrection is the people of my Household," then the nearest and then the next nearest, then theHelpers (Ansar), then those who believed in me and followed me from the people of Yemen, then the rest of the Arabs, and finally the non-Arabs. This was narrated by the author of the book al-Firdaws.

- .... And in another wording reported from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, I will intercede for my father, my mother, and my uncle Abu Talib," and a brother to me from the Age of Ignorance, meaning his brother through suckling, who is the son of Halimah al-Sa'diyyah.

- .... Al-Hakim narrated and authenticated from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was asked about his parents, to which he replied: "I did not ask my Lord about them, and I will surely be standing on that day in the Praised Position." This is an indication that good is to be hoped for them at the time he stands in the Praised Position, namely that he may intercede for them so that they be granted success in obedience during the trial. There is no doubt that he (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) will be told when standing in that position: "Ask, and you shall be given; intercede, and your intercession will be accepted," as the authentic hadiths state. If he asks for this, he will be granted it.
- .... Additionally, what Abu Sa'd al-Naysaburi narrated in Sharaf al-Mustafa and Umar Mulla in his Seerah from 'Imran ibn Husayn, with an unbroken chain, is relevant: "I asked my Lord not to admit anyone from my Ahlul Bayt to the Fire, and He granted me this." Ibn Jarirnarrated from Ibn Abbas regarding the Almighty's statement: "(And your Lord will surely give you, O Muhammad, so that you will be pleased)" (Surah Ad-Duha 93:5), he said: "From Muhammad's (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) pleasure is that no one from his Ahlul Bayt will be admitted to the Fire."

- .... I was informed by Abu al-Husayn Yahya ibn al-Husayn ibn Isma'il al-Askari who said: Abu Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Hasani narrated to us, saying: Zayd ibn Hajib narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ammar al-Attar narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Musa al-Ghatfani narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Harun al-Askari narrated to me, saying: Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Hamza al-Abbasi narrated to me, saying: my father narrated to me, saying: Ali ibn Musa ibn Ja'far narrated to me, saying: my father narrated to me, from Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from his father from Ali ibn Abi Talib, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: Gabriel descended to me and said, "O Muhammad, Allah sends you greetings of peace and says: I have forbidden the Fire on the loins that lowered you, the womb that carried you, and the bosom that sheltered you." He asked, "O Gabriel, explain this to me." Gabriel replied, "The loins are Abdullah, the womb is Amina bint Wahb, and the bosom is Abdul Muttalib and Fatimah bint Asad." This is undoubtedly a fabricated hadith, and its chain of narrators is as you see.

Tammam noted that in its chain of narrators was al-Walid ibn Salamah, who was known to transmit munkar (odd or rejected) narrations.
