... The Messenger (sawa) continued to stay protected against troubles in Mecca till his uncle Abu Talib (a.s) passed away and continued to invite the Qurashy (towards Allah's worship) under his (a.s) patronage till Jabraeel (a.s) descended and said: surely Allah has sent salutations upon you and told you: leave Mecca for surely your helper has died, then he (sawa) turned towards the people and said: know that by Allah I shall most certainly intercede for my uncle an intercession that shall dazzle the people of both the world's.

It has been narrated from Abu Abdillah Ja'far ibn Muhammad (peace be upon him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: The companions of the Cave concealed their faith and manifested polytheism, so Allah granted them their reward twice and indeed Abu Talib (peace be upon him) concealed his faith and manifested polytheism, so Allah granted him his reward twice.
