- .... He said: And Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) recited: {Indeed, there has come to you a Messenger from among yourselves} (Surah At-Tawbah 9:168) with the 'f' pronounced and said: I am from among yourselves the closest in lineage, marriage, and status. There is no one in my forefathers, from Adam onward, by illegitimate relations; all are by legitimate marriages. In another narration, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), it is said, like the marriages of Islam, meaning a man may propose to another man’s ward and give her a dowry, then contract marriage with her.

- .... And from Imam al-Suyuti: All the marriages in his (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) lineage from him to Adam are fully meeting the conditions of validity, like the marriages of Islam, and there was not in his (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) lineage from him to Adam except a valid marriage that meets the conditions of validity, akin to the marriages of Islam that exist today. He said: So believe this in your heart and hold onto it, and do not waver, lest you lose both this world and the Hereafter.

- .... Some said: And this is one of the greatest cares for him (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) that Allah, the Exalted, made the marriages of his forefathers from Adam until He brought him forth from between his parents occur in a uniform manner, in accordance with his (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) Sharia.
