- And in it, he said: Abu Umar Ubayd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Masiih al-Attaar narrated to me, saying: Abu Ishaq Ibrahim ibn Musa al-Hawzi narrated to us. Ibn Batta said: And Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn al-Husain informed me, saying: Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Salih al-Bukhari narrated to us, saying: Abu Ali ibn al-Sawwaf narrated to us, saying: Abu Ahmad Harun and Yusuf ibn Harun narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abi Umar al-Adi informed us, narrating to me from Umar ibn Khalid, who said: Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Jili narrated to us from Abdullah ibn al-Furat, from Uthman ibn al-Dhahhak, from Ibn Abbas, that he said: "Quraysh was a light before Allah, the Exalted, for five hundred years,
that light would worship, and the angels would glorify Allah with its worship. When Allah created Adam, He placed that light in his loins." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "So Allah sent me down to the earth in the back of Adam, in the loins of Adam, and placed me in the loins of Noah in the Ark, and cast me into the fire in the loins of Abraham,
and I continued to be transferred from noble lineages to pure wombs until I was brought forth between parents who had never met in legitimate marriage."
