- ... And from the hadith of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): "I am the most honored of the children of Adam before my Lord, and there is no boast in that." And in the hadith of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), "I am the most honored of the first and the last, and there is no boast in that." And from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) regarding him (peace be upon him and his holy progeny): "Gabriel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: 'I have turned over the east and west of the earth, and I did not see a man better than Muhammad, nor did I see a people better than the Banu Hashim.'"

Al-Hakim and al-Bayhaqi also narrated: from the hadith of Musa ibn Ubayda, who said: 'Amr ibn Abdullah ibn Nufal narrated to us from al-Zuhri, from Abu Usamah or Abu Salamah, from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to me, Gabriel (peace be upon him) told me, "I searched the earth from its Easts and Wests and did not find a man better than Muhammad," and I turned the earth's Easts and Wests and found no family better than the Banu Hashim."

Al-Hakim and Ibn Asakir narrated this from Aisha, and it is mentioned in Dhakha'ir al-'Uqba in the merits of the Dhawi al-Qurbى: Ahmad narrated it in al-Manaqib, and al-Mukhless, al-Dhahabi, al-Mahmali, al-Samarqandi, and Ibn al-Jarrah also narrated it from Aisha.

And I have explored the east and west of the earth, and I did not find a people better than the Banu Hashim. Ahmad narrated this in al-Manaqib, and it was also reported by al-Mukhlis al-Dhahabi, al-Mahamili, al-Samarqandi, and Ibn al-Jarrah.
