Hadith No: 1

Letter of Seen - Chapter on the one who is adorned with this letter, namely the letter Seen
Volume: (4) - Page Number: (77)

4605 - "I asked my Lord not to allow any of my family to enter the Fire, and He granted me this," and in another narration, "He granted me that." This is in line with what Ibn Abi Hatim narrated from Ibn Abbas regarding the Almighty's statement: {And your Lord is sure to give you, and you will be pleased}" (Surah Ad-Duha 93:5). He said: "From Muhammad's pleasure is that no one from his family will enter the Fire." It is understood that the intended meaning of his family is the believers among the Banu Hashim and Al-Muttalib, or Fatimah, Ali, their two sons, or his wives. However, the author maintained the generality of this statement and took it as evidence for the entry of his parents into Paradise. He said: "The generality of the wording, even if it is subject to interpretation, is considered." He explained that the reasoning is that those who lived in times of ignorance will be held in suspense until they are tested before the King, the Sovereign. Therefore, those for whom happiness was decreed will obey and enter the Gardens, or those who were destined for misery will disobey and enter the Fire. He also mentioned that in a narration of Al-Hakim, there is an indication that it is hoped his parents might receive intercession, but it is only towards being guided at the time of testing.

- .... From Imran ibn Husayn (may God be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of God (peace be upon him) said, "I asked my Lord not to allow anyone from my family to enter the Fire, and He granted me that." Abu Sa'd and al-Mulla narrated this in his biography.
- .... And from Ali (may God be pleased with him) who said: I heard the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) say, "O God, they are the descendants of Your Messenger; forgive the wrongdoings of those who do wrong among them for the sake of those who do good, and grant them to me." He said, So He did, and He will continue to do so." I asked, "What did He do?" He replied, "He did this with you and will do it with those who come after you." Al-Mulla narrated this.
- .... From Ibn Umar (may God be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of God (peace be upon him) said, "The first to intercede for on the Day of Resurrection from my ummah will be the people of my family," then those nearest, then the Ansar, then those who believed in me and followed me from the people of Yemen, then the rest of the Arabs, and then the non-Arabs. The author of the book al-Firdaws narrated this.

Additionally, what Abu Sa'd al-Nisaburi narrated in: Sharaf al-Mustafa and Umar al-Mulla in his Seerah joins this, from Imran ibn Husayn, marfu': "I asked my Lord not to admit anyone from the people of my House to the Fire, and He granted me that." And Ibn Jarir narrated from Ibn Abbas regarding Allah's statement, the Mighty and Majestic be He: {And your Lord is surely going to give you, and you will be pleased} (Surah Duha 93:5), who said: "From the pleasure of Muhammad (peace be upon him) is that He does not admit anyone from the people of his House to the Fire."

- .... I was informed by Abu al-Husayn Yahya ibn al-Husayn ibn Isma'il al-Alawi, who said: Abu Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Hasani narrated to us, saying: Zayd ibn Hajab narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ammar al-'Attar narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Musa al-Ghatafani narrated to me, saying: Muhammad ibn Harun al-Alawi narrated to me, saying: Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Hamza al-Abbasi narrated to me, saying: my father narrated to me, saying: Ali ibn Musa ibn Ja'far narrated to me, saying: my father narrated to me, from Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from his father from Ali ibn Abi Talib, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: Gabriel (peace be upon him) descended to me and said: O Muhammad, Allah sends you greetings of peace and says: I have forbidden the Fire to the loins that conveyed you, the womb that bore you, and the bosom that nurtured you. He said: O Gabriel, explain this to me. Gabriel replied: As for the loins, they are Abdullah; as for the womb, it is Amina bint Wahb; and as for the bosom, it is Abd, that is, Abd al-Muttalib, and Fatimah bint Asad. This is undoubtedly a fabricated حديث (hadith), and its chain of narration is as you see.

As for the loins, they are Abd Allah; as for the womb, it is Aminah; and as for the arms, it is your uncle," meaning Abu Talib and Fatimah bint Asad.
