32103 - Muhammad ibn Mus'ab narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from Shaddad ibn Abi Ammar, who said: I entered upon Wathila while he was with a group of people, and they were mentioning (Ali) and insulting him, and he insulted him along with them. He then said: Would you like me to tell you what I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)? I said: Yes. He replied: I went to Fatimah to ask her about Ali, and she said: He has gone to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). So, I went and found him sitting
and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) came with Ali, Hasan, and Husayn, each one of them holding his hand. He brought Ali and Fatimah close and seated them between him, and he made Hasan and Husayn each sit on his thigh. Then he wrapped them all in his cloak, or he said: his shawl, and recited this verse: {Indeed, Allah intends to remove the impurity from you, O People of the Prophet's House, and to make you perfectly pure} (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:33). Then he said: O Allah, these are the People of my House, and the People of my House have more right (to my care).
