1505 - Narrated to us by al-Husayn ibn Humayd ibn al-Rabi', Abu Abdullah, who said: Narrated to us by Makhlul ibn Ibrahim, Abu Abdullah, who said: Abd al-Jabbar ibn Abbas al-Shabami narrated to us, from Ammar al-Dahhani from Umrah bint Af'a, who said: I heard Umm Salamah say: "This verse was revealed in my house": {"Allah only wants to remove the impurity from you, O People of the Prophet's House, and to purify you with a thorough purification" (Surah al-Ahzab 33:33)} and there were seven in the house: Gabriel, Michael, the Messenger of Allah, Ali, Fatimah, Husayn, and Hasan. She said: "And I was at the door of the house. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, are you not one of the People of the House?' He replied, 'You are certainly one of the People of the House.'"

2049 - Narrated to us by Abu Sa'id, who said: Hussain al-Ashqar narrated to us, who said: Mansur ibn Abi al-Aswad narrated to us, who said: al-A'mash narrated to us, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Sharh ibn Hushab from Umm Salama: that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) took a cloth and wrapped it around Ali, Fatima, Hasan, and Husayn, and then recited this verse: {Indeed, Allah only intends to remove the impurity from you, O People of the Prophet's House, and to make you pure and pristine} (Surah al-Ahzab 33:33). She said: So I came to enter with them, but he said: Stay in your place; you are on a good path.
