Hadith No: 1
Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili - Musnad Abu Ya'la - From the Musnad of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri
Volume: (2) - Hadith Number: (297)
1021 - Al-Bushr ibn al-Walid narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Talhah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Atiah ibn Sa'd from Abu Sa'id that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "I am about to be called and I will respond, and I am leaving among you the two weighty things (thaqalayn): the Book of Allah, a rope extended from the heavens to the earth, and my family (Itrah), my Ahlulbayt. And the Delicate, All-Aware has informed me that they will not separate until they both come to me at the pond (al-Hawdh), so see how you will fare with what I am leaving you in them."

1140 - Sufyan ibn Waki' said: Muhammad ibn Fadl narrated to us, from Abdul Malik ibn Abi Sulayman, from Atiyya al-Oufi from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) say: "O people, I had indeed left among you something that if you hold onto, you will not go astray after me: the two weighty things, one of which is greater than the other: the Book of Allah, a rope extended from the heavens to the earth, and my family (Itrati), the people of my house (Ahl Bayti). And they will not separate until they return to me at the Pool (Hawd)."
