265 - Ja'far ibn Awn narrated to us, saying: Abu Hayyan al-Taimi narrated to me from Yazid ibn Hayyan, who said: I heard Zayd ibn Arqam say: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) stood among us, praised Allah and extolled Him, and then said: "To proceed, O people, I am but a human being about to be visited by the Messenger of my Lord, and I will respond to him.
I am leaving among you two precious things, the first of which is the Book of Allah, containing guidance and light. So hold firmly to the Book of Allah and take refuge in it." He encouraged adherence to the Book of Allah and expressed eagerness for it, then said: "And my Ahlulbayt (holy progeny), I remind you of Allah regarding my Ahlulbayt three times."" Husseyn then asked: "O Zayd, who are his Ahlulbayt? Are not his women part of his Ahlulbayt?" He replied: "Yes, the women are part of his Ahlulbayt, but the Ahlulbayt he refers to are those who are prohibited from receiving charity after him." Husseyn said: "And who are they?" He replied: "The families of Ali, Ja'far, Aqil, and Abbas." Husseyn asked: "Are all of these prohibited from charity?" He answered: "Yes."
