102 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Sulayman Abu Zakariya al-Naysaburi al-Sufi, known as Ibn al-Sayyagh, came to Damascus and narrated there from Abu Amr Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Mansur al-Umraki and Abu Nasr Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Tamim al-Sarkhasi. Al-Dhahabi and al-Muhsin ibn Tahir ibn al-Hasan al-Maliki both narrated from him, as did Abu al-Qasim ibn Abi al-Alai and Abu Sa'd Ishaq ibn Ali al-Razayi al-Samman. Abu Muhammad ibn al-Akfani narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Aziz ibn Ahmad al-Katani narrated to us, saying: Abu Zakariya Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Sulayman al-Naysaburi, the faqir known as Ibn al-Sayyagh, came to us and we had a reading session with him. Abu Amr Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Mansur al-Umraki al-Sarkhasi narrated to us, saying: Abu Ali al-Husayn ibn Muhammad ibn Mu'sab narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn Khashar narrated to us, from Isa ibn Yunus, from Imran, meaning al-A'mi, from al-Shabi
from Jabir ibn Samura, who said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) during the Farewell Pilgrimage say: 'The affair of this Ummah will continue to be triumphant over those who oppose it until there are twelve caliphs in power.'" He then said a word that was unclear to me, and I asked my father, who was closer to him than I was, what he said:
"He said, 'All of them are from Quraysh.'"
