6990 - Ahmad ibn Yusuf al-Sulami narrated to us, saying: Umar ibn Abdullah ibn Razin narrated to us, from Sufyan, meaning Ibn Husayn, from Sa'id ibn Amr ibn Ash'ath, from Amir al-Sha'bi
from Jabir ibn Samurah al-Suwa'i, who said: "I came with my father to the mosque while the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was delivering a sermon, and I heard him say: 'After me, there will be twelve.'" Then he lowered his voice, and I did not understand what he was saying. I said to my father, "What is he saying?"
He replied: "All of them are from Quraysh." Abu 'Awaneh said: Ibn Ash'ath collects his narrations, and this is something that Abu Zakariya al-A'raj chose, and it is a good and sound hadith.
