Volume: (1) - Page Number: (175/176)
712 - Asbat ibn Nasr al-Hamdani narrated from Samak and Isma'il al-Sindi, and Abu Ghassan al-Nahdi and Amr ibn Hammad and a group narrated from him. Ibn Ma'in regarded him as trustworthy, Ahmad was hesitant about him, and Abu Nu'aym weakened him. Al-Nasa'i said: "Asbat is not like al-Baqawi." Asbat narrated from al-Suddi from Sabih, the freedman of Umm Salamah, from Zayd ibn Arqam that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to Ali, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husayn: 'I am at war with those who wage war on you and at peace with those who are at peace with you,' a narration that Asbat was unique in.
