36 - al-Tirmidhi: With his chain of narration from Zayd ibn Arqam, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to Ali, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husayn, peace be upon them: "I am at war with whoever fights you and at peace with whoever makes peace with you." Ibn Majah also reported this in the same manner from Zayd ibn Arqam.

349 - And from Zayd ibn Arqam: that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to Ali, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husayn: "I am at war with whoever battles you and at peace with whoever is at peace with you." Al-Tirmidhi and Abu Hatim narrated it, and Al-Tirmidhi said: "This is a strange hadith."

633 - Um Salamah narrated that she said: The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was with me, his head bowed down. Fatimah (peace be upon her) prepared him some harirah, and she came with Hassan and Hussein. He (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to her: "Bring me your husband, go and call him." So she went and brought him, and they all ate it. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) took a cloak, draped it over them, and held its edge with his left hand. Then he raised his right hand to the sky and said: "O Allah, these are my Ahlulbayt, my refuge, and my chosen ones. O Allah, remove from them impurity and purify them completely." Then he said: "I am at war with those who wage war against them, and at peace with those who are at peace with them, and an enemy to those who oppose them." Al-Ghassani also narrated this in his Ma'jam.

This was narrated by al-Tirmidhī.

And Abū Ḥāzim narrated from Abū Huraira that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) looked at Ali, Fatimah, and Hassan and Hussein, peace be upon them all, and said: "I am at war with those who wage war on you and at peace with those who are at peace with you."
