26000 - Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, who said: 'Awf narrated to us, from Abi al-Mu'adhdil Atiyyah al-Tafawi, from his father, that Umm Salamah narrated to him, saying: "While the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was in my house one day, the maid said: 'Ali and Fatimah are at the door.' He then said to me: 'Get up and make way for me from my family.'" She continued: "So I stood up and made my way in the house, close by. Then Ali and Fatimah entered with Hasan and Husayn, who were small children. He took the two children and placed them in his lap, kissing them. He embraced Ali with one of his hands and Fatimah with the other, kissing Fatimah and then Ali. He then covered them with a black cloak and said: 'O Allah, to You, not to the Fire, are we, I and my family.'" She said: "I then said, 'And me, O Messenger of Allah?' He replied, 'And you.'"

26060 - Abd al-Wahhab ibn Ata narrated to us, saying: Auf narrated to us, from Abu al-Ma'adil Atiyya al-Taffawi, who said: My father narrated to me, from Umm Salama, wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), who said: While the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was in my house, the maid said, "Ali and Fatima are at the door." He replied, "Get up from the people of my household." So I stood up and moved to a corner of the house nearby. Then Ali and Fatima entered, and with them were the two small boys, Hasan and Husayn. He took the boys, kissed them, and placed them in his lap, embracing Ali and Fatima. Then he covered Ali and Fatima with a mantle of his. And he said, "O Allah, to You and not to the Fire, I and my household turn." She said, So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, and us?" He replied, "And you."

She continued: He then said to me: "Get up and make way for me from my family." She said: So I stood up and made way in the house, not far away, and Ali and Fatimah, along with Hasan and Husayn, both of whom were small children, entered. She said: He took the two children and placed them in his lap, kissing them and embracing Ali with one hand and Fatimah with the other. He then kissed Fatimah and covered them with a black cloak. He said: "O Allah, we turn to You, not to the Fire, I and my family." She said: I said, "And me, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "And you."

She said, then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to me: "Stand up and make way for me from my Ahl al-Bayt." She said, so I stood and moved aside in the house, close by. Ali and Fatimah entered with their two sons, Hasan and Husayn, who were small children. He took the two boys and placed them in his lap, kissed them, and embraced Ali with one of his hands and Fatimah with the other. He kissed Fatimah and kissed Ali, then he draped a large black cloak over them and said: "O Allah, we are for You, not for the Fire, I and my Ahl al-Bayt." She said: So I said, "Am I not a part of your Ahl al-Bayt, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "You are, too," narrated by Ahmad.

He (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "Move away from the people of my House." So she moved to a corner of the house, and Ali, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husayn entered. He placed them in his lap, took Ali in one hand and pulled him close, and took Fatimah in the other hand and pulled her close, kissing them both and covering them with a black cloak. Then he said: "O Allah, to You, not to the Fire, are we and the people of my House." She said: Then I called out to him and said: "And me, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "And you."
