15018 - And from Thoban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny):that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) prayed for his family and mentioned Ali, Fatima, and others, and I said:"O Messenger of Allah, am I not one of the Ahl al-Bayt?" He replied:"Yes, as long as you do not stand at the door of a barrier or go to an emir to ask him." This was narrated by al-Tabarani in al-Awsat, and its narrators are trustworthy.

Ibn Abi Asim - Kitab al-Sunnah - Chapter on the Virtues of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)

1547 - Thna: Amr ibn Uthman, Thna: my father, narrated to us: Abdullah ibn Abd al-Aziz narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Abd al-Aziz, from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Salamah and Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, and Urwah ibn al-Zubair from Utbah ibn Ghazwan, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: O people, this matter is not to be expected to be fulfilled except by this tribe from Quraysh. They are the most just among the Arabs and the closest to the Arabs among the Arabs. So do not precede Quraysh.
