Al-Hakim al-Haskani - Shawahid al-Tanzil li-Qawa'id al-Tafdeel

- .... Narrated from Anas ibn Malik who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent a declaration of disassociation (Barahat) with Abu Bakr and then called him back and said: "No one should convey this except a man from my family." Then he called Ali and gave it to him." Then al-Tirmidhi said: "This is a hasan ghareeb (good, strange) hadith from the narration of Anas."

311 - He narrated to us: Ali ibn Ahmad who said: Ahmad ibn Ubaydah narrated to us who said: Tamtam narrated to us who said: Affan ibn Muslim Abu Uthman al-Saffar narrated to us who said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us from Samak from Anas that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent al-Bara'ah with Abu Bakr to the people of Mecca, and when he turned away, he called him and sent Ali, saying: "No one will deliver it except a man from my people."
312 - Al-Hakim Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz narrated to us, reading and dictating, and he said: Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Uqbah al-Shaybani narrated to us in Kufa, saying: Al-Husayn ibn al-Hakam al-Habari narrated to us, and Affan narrated to us. 314 - Muhammad ibn Musa ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, saying: Affan narrated to us, saying: Hammad narrated to us, from Samak ibn Harb from Anas ibn Malik, that the Messenger of Allah sent a proclamation (Bar'ah) with Abu Bakr to the people of Mecca, then called him back and sent Ali, saying: "Only a man from my family can convey it."....
315 - Al-Astadh Abu Tahir al-Ziyadi narrated to me, saying: Abu Tahir al-Muhammad Abadi narrated to us, saying: Abu Qilabah al-Ruqashi narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Samad and Musa ibn Isma'il both said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Samak ibn Harb from Anas ibn Malik, that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent the chapter of Bar'ah with Abu Bakr, then sent for him, took it, and handed it to Ali, and said: "Only I or a man from my Ahlulbayt can deliver it on my behalf."

316 - Abu Abd Allah al-Jurjani narrated to us, saying: Abu Tahir al-Sulami narrated to us, saying: My grandfather Abu Bakr narrated to us, saying: Abdul Warith ibn Abdul Samad narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, saying: Hammad narrated to us from Samak from Anas that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent Bera'ah (the Declaration of Innocence) with Abu Bakr, and when he reached Dhul-Hulaifah, he said: "No one is to announce it except me or a man from my Ahlul Bayt." So he sent it with Ali.
317 - Abu Abd al-Rahman Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Balawi narrated to us, saying: Abu Sa'id Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Qurashi narrated to us, saying: Abu Ya'qub Yusuf ibn Asim al-Razi narrated to us, saying: Abu Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr al-Maqdisi narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abdul Samad narrated to us, saying: Hammad narrated to us from Samak from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent a chapter of Bera'ah with Abu Bakr, and when he reached Dhul-Hulaifah, he sent for him, returned him, and took it from him, handing it to Ali, and said: "None shall establish it except me or a man from my Ahlul Bayt."
318 - Abu al-Qasim Mansur ibn Khalaf al-Maqri narrated to us, saying: Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn Abdān narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Musa narrated to us, saying: Ismail ibn Yahya narrated to us, saying: al-Kurmānī ibn Amr narrated to us, saying: Hammad narrated to us from Samak from Anas that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent Bera'ah with Abu Bakr and then said: "No one is to deliver a sermon with it except me or a man from my family." So he sent it with Ali (peace be upon him).

319 - Al-Hakim al-Walid Abu Muhammad, may Allah have mercy on him, narrated to me, saying: Abu Hafs Umar ibn Ahmad al-Wa'iz narrated to us in Baghdad, saying: My father narrated to me, saying: Al-Abbas ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Amr ibn Hammad ibn Talha narrated to us, saying: Usbat ibn Nasr narrated to us, from Samaak, from Hunch from Ali ibn Abi Talib: that when the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent him with Surah At-Tawbah (Surah 9), he said, "O Prophet of Allah, I am not a fluent speaker or a preacher." The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) replied, "It is inevitable that either I go with it, or you go with it." He said, "If it must be, then I will go." The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Go, for Allah, the Almighty, will strengthen your tongue and guide your heart." Then he placed his hand on my mouth and said, "Go and recite it to the people."

- Al-Abbas ibn Muhammad al-Duri narrated to us, saying: Abu Nuh Qarad narrated to us from Yunus ibn Abi Ishaq, from Abi Ishaq, from Zayd ibn Yathii from Ali, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent with a declaration (Barakat) to the people of Mecca with Abu Bakr, and then followed him with Ali. He said to him: 'Take the book from him and proceed to the people of Mecca.'" I pursued him and took the book from him, and Abu Bakr returned, looking dejected. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, was anything revealed about this?' He replied: 'No, except that I was commanded to convey it, whether by me or by a man from my Ahlul Bayt.'"
- Ahmad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, saying: Abu Ahmad narrated to us, saying: Isra'il narrated to us from Abi Ishaq from Zayd ibn Yathii, who said: "The declaration (Barakat) was revealed, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent Abu Bakr with it. Then he sent Ali, who took it from him. When Abu Bakr returned, he said: 'Was anything revealed about this?' Ali replied: 'No, but I was commanded to convey it, whether by me or by a man from my Ahlul Bayt.'"

322 - Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Muhammad narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn al-Fadl ibn Muhammad narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Sulayman al-Wasiti narrated to us, who said: Sa'id ibn Sulayman narrated to us, who said: Ibad narrated to us, from Sufyan ibn Husayn, from al-Hakam, from Muqsim from Ibn Abbas: that the Prophet (pbuh) sent Abu Bakr and instructed him to announce these words, then he followed him with Ali, and he handed him the Book of the Messenger of Allah. While Abu Bakr was on the way, he heard the braying of the she-camel of the Messenger of Allah, al-Qaswa, and Abu Bakr went out, terrified, thinking it was the Messenger of Allah. Instead, it was Ali, and he handed him the Book of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and appointed him over the pilgrimage, and instructed Ali to announce these words....

323 - Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, who said: Matin narrated to us, who said: Uthman ibn Muhammad narrated to us, who said: Ismail ibn Aban narrated to us, who said: Abu Shaiba narrated to me, who said: al-Hakam narrated to me on the authority of Mus'ab ibn Sa'd from Sa'd, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent Abu Bakr with Surah at-Tawbah (Barā'ah), and when he reached Dhajnan, Ali followed him. When Abu Bakr heard the she-camel of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) stumble, he thought it was the Messenger of Allah. He went out, and it was Ali. He handed Surah at-Tawbah to him, and he was the one who called out its verses."

325 - Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abdullah narrated to us, saying: Al-Hasan ibn Sufyan narrated to us, saying: Ibn Numayr narrated to us, saying: Abu Rabihah narrated to us, saying: Abu Awanah narrated to us, saying: al-A'mash narrated to us from Abu Salih. Zakaraya ibn Yahya narrated to us, saying: Ubaydullah ibn Umar narrated to us, saying: Asbat narrated to us, from Fitr, from Abdullah ibn Sharbak, from Abdullah ibn al-Ruqayqim from Sa'd who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent Abu Bakr with al-Bara'ah (the chapter of Immunity), and when he was some way along the road, he sent Ali (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) to take it from him. Then he proceeded with it. Abu Bakr felt something in his heart and said, The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to him: "Nothing will convey my message except me or a man from me." Nearby, al-Suyuti mentioned this in his interpretation of Allah's statement: {A declaration of immunity from Allah and His Messenger to those with whom you made a pact from among the polytheists} (Surah Tawbah 9:1) in Dur al-Manthur in the commentary based on transmitted reports, and said: Ibn Marduyah narrated it from Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas.

And al-Suyuti narrated it from him in his interpretation of Allah's statement: "A declaration from Allah and His Messenger" from Durar al-Manthur fi al-Tafsir bil-Ma'thur, and he said: Ibn Hibban and Ibn Marduyah reported from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent Abu Bakr to convey Surah Barakah on his behalf. When he sent him, he summoned Ali and said: "O Ali, only I and you can convey it on my behalf ." He placed him on his she-camel, al-Udba, and they traveled until they caught up with Abu Bakr. He took Surah Barakah from him and went to Abu Bakr, the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), who was filled with fear that something might have been revealed about this. When he came to him, he said: "What is wrong with me, O Messenger of Allah? ...."

327 - Al-Hakim, my father, narrated to me from Abu Hafs ibn Shahin, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Sa'id, from Ahmad ibn al-Hasan al-Khazzaz, from Abu Husayn, from Abd al-Samad, from his father from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) sent with verses from the beginning of Surah Tawbah (Surah 9) Abu Bakr and instructed him to recite them to the people. Then Gabriel descended upon him and said, "None will convey this for you except you or Ali." So he sent Ali after him. Abu Bakr heard the bleating of the she-camel and said, "What is behind you, O Ali? Has something been revealed?" Ali replied, "No, but the Messenger of Allah said, 'None will convey this for me except myself or Ali.'" Abu Bakr then handed him the verses, and Ali recited them to the people.
