His statement: (and the father is what the livestock eat): And ibn Jarir reported from the narration of Ibrahim al-Taymi that Abu Bakr al-Siddiq was asked about (the father) and said: "Which heaven would shelter me and which earth would bear me if I said in the Book of Allah without knowledge."

- .... Hadith five: (His statement: from Anas, "We were with Umar, and he said: 'We were prohibited from being overly intricate in asking about knowledge.').... And from another source, from Ibrahim al-Nakha'i, who said: Abu Bakr al-Siddiq recited: {And fruits and greens} (Surah Abasa 80:31), and it was said, 'What is the greens?' He replied, 'This and that.' Abu Bakr said, 'Is there any land that can take me in, or any sky that can shade me, if I were to say something about the Book of Allah that I do not know?'}
- .... It was also reported from the direction of Ibrahim al-Taymi that Abu Bakr was asked about what (al-ab) is, and he said, 'Any sky could shade me.'

- .... And from Ibn Abbas as well as Ibn Abi Talhah: the term "abb" refers to moist fruits. And al-Dahhak said it specifically means figs, which is also reported from Ibn Abbas. The poet said:
Why do they have a pasture for the sows * while "abb" is present among them, measuring?
It is every plant except fruit, and it is said that "fruit" refers to fresh produce, while "abb" refers to dry.
- Ibrahim al-Taymi said: Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may he be pleased with him and assuitable mention) was asked about the interpretation of (fruit and abb), and he replied: "Which sky would overshadow me and which earth would support me if I were to say something in the Book of Allah that I do not understand?"
