(Benefit): Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) died from an illness of tuberculosis, as stated by al-Zubair ibn Bakkar, and according to al-Waqidi, he bathed on a cold day and had a fever for fifteen days.
It is also said that the Jews rather poisoned him in a harira (a type of soup) or something else, which is more accurate. He passed away eight days before the end of Jumada al-Thani in the year thirteen of the Hijrah, making his caliphate last two years, three months, and a few days, although some say otherwise.
