- Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz narrated to us, saying: Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Junayd narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Nasr narrated to us, saying: Abu Na'im al-Fadl ibn Dukin narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Jabbar ibn al-Ward narrated to us, from Ammar al-Dahhani, from Salim ibn Abi al-J'ad, from Umm Salamah, who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) mentioned the departure of some of his wives, the Mothers of the Believers, and Aisha laughed. He said: "Look, O Humayra, that you are not the one."
Then he turned to Ali and said: "O Ali, if you take charge of anything regarding her, be gentle with her." I said, and Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman died before her journey, and he had informed us, and also al-Tufayl and Amr ibn Dhalih, about the journey of one of the Mothers of the Believers in a battalion, and none would say this except from hearing.
