- Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, from al-Ajlah, from Abdullah ibn Abi Mulaykah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy relics) proposed to Aisha, the daughter of Abi Bakr al-Siddiq, and he said: "I had given her in marriage to the son of Jubayr, so allow me to take her until I can withdraw her from them." He then withdrew her from them, and he divorced her, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy relics) married her."
