Bury me with his wives," so she was buried in al-Baqi." This is a sahih (authentic) hadith on the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and they did not record it.

- .... Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khlād narrated from Qays, who said: ʿĀ'isha said - and she had been considering burying herself in her house - she said: "I have caused an event after the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). Bury me with his wives," and she was buried in al-Baqīʿ (r). I said: By "event" she means her march on the Day of Jamal, for she felt complete regret and repented from it; however, she did not do that except in interpretation, intending good, just as Ṭalḥa ibn ʿUbaydullah, al-Zubayr ibn al-ʿAwwām, and a group of other senior companions did, may Allah be pleased with them all.

- .... He said: And Umm Aufi al-'Abadiyya entered upon Aisha after the Battle of the Jamal and said to her: O Mother of the Believers, what do you say about a woman who killed her small son? She said: The Fire is warranted for her. He said: And what do you say about a woman who killed twenty thousand of her older children in one place? She said: Take the hand of the enemy of Allah. Aisha died in the days of Muawiya and had nearly reached seventy and she was told: You will be buried with the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and his holy progeny. She said: No, I have caused an event after him, so bury me with my brothers in Baqi'.
