- .... Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khlād
narrated from Qays, who said: ʿĀ'isha said - and she had been considering burying herself in her house - she said: "I have caused an event after the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). Bury me with his wives," and she was buried in al-Baqīʿ (r). I said: By "event" she means her march on the Day of Jamal, for she felt complete regret and repented from it; however, she did not do that except in interpretation, intending good, just as Ṭalḥa ibn ʿUbaydullah, al-Zubayr ibn al-ʿAwwām, and a group of other senior companions did, may Allah be pleased with them all.
