23783 - Ibn Numayr narrated to us, saying: Yunus ibn Abi Ishaq narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq
from Amr ibn Ghalib, who said: I, along with Ammar and al-Ashtar, reached Aisha. Ammar said: Peace be upon you, O my mother. She replied: Peace be upon those who follow guidance, and she repeated this to him two or three times. Then he said: By Allah, you are indeed my mother, even if you dislike it. She asked: Who is this with you? He said: This is al-Ashtar. She said: You are the one who wanted to kill my nephew. He replied: Yes, I did want that, and he wanted it too. She said: If you had done it, you would not have succeeded. As for you, O Ammar, you heard or were you not aware that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "It is not lawful to shed the blood of a Muslim person except in three cases: except for adultery after having been chaste, or disbelief after having believed, or killing a soul, and being killed in return for that."
