- .... and the sword, and that if she feared death, she would not say anything to displease the Lord, so they killed him and murdered six others with him, namely: Sharik ibn Shaddad, Sayfi ibn Fudhayl, Qabisah ibn Hunayfah, Muhriz ibn Shihab, Karim ibn Hiban, and buried them and prayed over them with Abdur Rahman ibn Hissan al-Anzi, and Karim ibn al-Khathami was brought to Muawiya, who asked him to denounce Ali, so he remained silent. Samurah ibn Abdlillah al-Khathami asked Muawiya to grant him Karim ibn al-Khathami, and he gave him to him on the condition that he not enter Kufa. So he settled in Mosul. Then he asked Abdur Rahman ibn Hissan about Ali, and he spoke well of him, and then about Uthman, and said: "The first to open the door of oppression and close the door of truth." He was sent back to Ziyad to be killed in the worst way, and he buried him alive.

Naming those killed from the companions of Hajr ibn Adi and Sharik ibn Shaddad al-Hadrami, as well as Sayfi ibn Fusayl al-Shaybani, Qabisa ibn Dhabiyya al-Absi, Muhriz ibn Shahab al-Sa'di, then al-Munqari, and Kudam ibn Hayyan al-Unayzi and Abd al-Rahman ibn Hissan al-Unayzi, whom he sent to Ziyad, were buried alive in Qasr al-Na'tif. Thus, they were seven who were killed, buried, and prayed over. He said that they alleged that when al-Hasan learned of Hajr and his companions' killings, he said: "Pray over them and bury them, then face them towards the qibla." They replied: "Yes." He said: "Stone them, by the Lord of the Ka'bah."
- Abd al-Rahman ibn Hissan ibn Muhdhuq al-Unayzi al-Kufi was a tabi'i (a successor) who came with Hajr ibn Adi to Adhra'ah. When Hajr and his companions were killed, Abd al-Rahman was taken to Muawiya, who spoke to him in a manner that was more severe, so he sent him to Ziyad and ordered him to be punished. Ziyad buried him alive in Qasr al-Na'tif. Thus, they were seven who were killed, buried, and prayed over.

- Abu al-Qasim Ahmad ibn Ibrahim and Abu al-Wahsh Subay' ibn al-Muslim narrated to us, both having been given permission by Rasha ibn Nazif al-Muqri, who said: Abu Shu'ayb Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad al-Maktab and Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Masriayn both said: Al-Hasan ibn Rashiq narrated to us, and Abu Bashar al-Dulabi said: Muhammad, meaning ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashim, narrated to me from his father, from Muhammad ibn Umar, who said: Hissan ibn Muhduj ibn Bakr ibn Wa'il met Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and those after him. He was killed on the Day of the Camel (Yawm al-Jamal) with Ali ibn Abi Talib, and his son was captured with Jughr ibn Adi and sent by Muawiya to Ziyad. Ziyad captured him and took him out to the Kufa cemetery, where he buried him alive.

- Abdul Rahman ibn Hassan Al-Anzi, from Banu Rabi'ah: a brave man of strong resolve who was one of the companions of Ali ibn Abi Talib. He lived in Kufa, inciting people against the Umayyads. Ziyad ibn Abihe arrested him and sent him to Shaam (Syria). Muawiya then called him to denounce Ali and Abdul Rahman responded harshly, prompting Muawiya to send him back to Ziyad, who buried him alive.
