- .... Naming those killed from the companions of Hajr ibn Adi and Sharik ibn Shaddad al-Hadrami, as well as Sayfi ibn Fusayl al-Shaybani, Qabisa ibn Dhabiyya al-Absi, Muhriz ibn Shahab al-Sa'di, then al-Munqari, and Kudam ibn Hayyan al-Unayzi
and Abd al-Rahman ibn Hissan al-Unayzi, whom he sent to Ziyad, were buried alive in Qasr al-Na'tif. Thus, they were seven who were killed, buried, and prayed over. He said that they alleged that when al-Hasan learned of Hajr and his companions' killings, he said: "Pray over them and bury them, then face them towards the qibla." They replied: "Yes." He said: "Stone them, by the Lord of the Ka'bah."
- Abd al-Rahman ibn Hissan ibn Muhdhuq al-Unayzi al-Kufi was a tabi'i (a successor) who came with Hajr ibn Adi to Adhra'ah. When Hajr and his companions were killed,
Abd al-Rahman was taken to Muawiya, who spoke to him in a manner that was more severe, so he sent him to Ziyad and ordered him to be punished. Ziyad buried him alive in Qasr al-Na'tif. Thus, they were seven who were killed, buried, and prayed over.
