People fear Talbiyah for fear of Mua'wiyah and hatred for Ali

Hadith No: 1

There is no day on which Allah frees more servants from the Fire than on the day of Arafah.

1749 - Ishaq ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Hashimi al-Kufi narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Hazim ibn Abi Ghurzah al-Ghifari narrated to us, saying: Khalid ibn Makhlad al-Qatwani narrated to us. Abu Sa'id Abd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad al-Mu'adhdhin also narrated to me, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Imam narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: Khalid ibn Makhlad narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn Mahser narrated to us, from Maysarah ibn Habib, from al-Minhhal ibn Amr from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: "We were with Ibn Abbas at Arafah, and he said to me: 'O master, why do I not hear the people chanting the Talbiyah?' I said: 'They are afraid of Muawiyah.' Ibn Abbas then emerged from his tent and said: 'Here I am, O Allah, here I am,' for they have abandoned the Sunnah out of hatred for Ali (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)." This is a sound hadith according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and they did not narrate it.

9447 - Abu al-Hasan Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Alawi narrated to us, stating that Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Hasan ibn al-Sharqi narrated to him, who said: Ali ibn Sa'id al-Nasawi narrated to us, from Khalid ibn Makhlad, from Ali ibn Salih, from Maysarah ibn Habib al-Nahdi, from al-Munhal ibn Amr from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: We were with Ibn Abbas at Arafah, and he said: O Sa'id, why do I not hear the people proclaiming the Talbiyah? I replied: They fear Muawiyah. Ibn Abbas then left his tent and said: Here I am, O Allah, here I am, even if Muawiyah's nose is imposed in humiliation. O Allah, curse them, for they have abandoned the Sunnah out of hatred for Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).

2830 - Narrated to us by Ali ibn Muslim, who said: Khalid ibn Makhlad narrated to us, who said: Ali ibn Salih narrated to us, from Maysarah ibn Habib, from al-Munhal ibn Amr from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: We were with Ibn Abbas at Arafat, and he said to me: "O Sa'id, why do I not hear the people making Talbiyah?" I said: "They fear Mu'awiyah." Then Ibn Abbas emerged from his tent and said: "Here I am, O Allah, here I am," for they have abandoned the Sunnah out of hatred for Ali." Abu Bakr said: The reports of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) indicate that he did not cease making Talbiyah until he threw stones at the Jamrah, clarifying that he was making Talbiyah at Arafat.

3979 - Ahmad ibn Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi al-Kufi narrated to us, from Khalid ibn Makhlad, who said: Ali ibn Salih narrated to us, from Maysera ibn Habib, from al-Munhal ibn Amr from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: "We were with Ibn Abbas at Arafat, and he said: 'Why do I not hear the people reciting the talbiyah?' I replied, 'They fear Muawiyah.' Then Ibn Abbas left his tent and said: 'Here I am, O Allah, here I am, here I am,' for they have abandoned the Sunnah out of hatred for Ali.'"
