1749 - Ishaq ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Hashimi al-Kufi narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Hazim ibn Abi Ghurzah al-Ghifari narrated to us, saying: Khalid ibn Makhlad al-Qatwani narrated to us. Abu Sa'id Abd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad al-Mu'adhdhin also narrated to me, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Imam narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn Muslim narrated to us, saying: Khalid ibn Makhlad narrated to us, saying: Ali ibn Mahser narrated to us, from Maysarah ibn Habib, from al-Minhhal ibn Amr
from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: "We were with Ibn Abbas at Arafah, and he said to me: 'O master, why do I not hear the people chanting the Talbiyah?' I said: 'They are afraid of Muawiyah.' Ibn Abbas then emerged from his tent and said: 'Here I am, O Allah, here I am,' for they have abandoned the Sunnah out of hatred for Ali (peace be upon him and his holy progeny)." This is a sound hadith according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and they did not narrate it.
