Khalid Ibn al-Walid insults the companions

Hadith No: 1

Abu Sa'id reported there was some altercation between Khalid b. Walid and Abd al-Rahman b. 'Auf and Khalid reviled him. Thereupon Allah's Messnger (s) said:

None should revile my Companions. for if one amongst you were to spend as much gold as Uhud, it would not amount to as much as one mudd of one of them or half of it.

1171 - Zuhair narrated to us, who said: Jarir narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: There was something between Khalid ibn al-Walid and Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, and Khalid criticized him. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Do not insult any of my companions, for if one of you were to spend the equivalent of Mount Uhud in charity, you would not reach the measure of one of them, nor half of it."

6994 - Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Ibrahim, mawla Thaqif, informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us, saying: Jarir narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: There was some disagreement between Abdul Rahman and Khalid ibn al-Walid, and Khalid abused him. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "Do not abuse any of my companions, for if one of you were to spend like Mount Uhud in gold, he would not reach a handful or half a handful of what they have achieved."

3673 - .... Narrated from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri who said: There was something between Khalid ibn al-Walid and Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, and Khalid insulted him. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "Do not insult any of my companions, for if one of you were to spend the equivalent of Mount Uhud in gold, it would not equal a handful or half a handful from one of them." This was narrated by Muslim and Ibn Majah from the hadith of Jarir, and it was regarded as a high, acceptable substitution for us.

- And the narration of Abu Saleh is preserved, and he also narrated from Abu Sa'id, who informed us: Abu al-Qasim Zahir ibn Tahir said: It was read to Abu Othman al-Bahiri, who said: My grandfather Abu al-Husayn Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to me: Abu Muhammad Ahmad ibn Ibrahim ibn Abdullah, the grandson of Nasr ibn Ziyad, dictated to us: Nasr ibn Ziyad narrated to me: Jarir, from al-A'mash, from Abu Saleh from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: There was something between Abdul Rahman ibn Awf and Khalid ibn al-Walid, and Khalid insulted him. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "Do not insult any of my companions, for if one of you were to spend like Mount Uhud in gold, he would not reach the measure or half a measure of one of them."
