- Abu al-Qasim ibn al-Samarqandi narrated to us, saying: Abu Muhammad al-Kattani narrated to us, saying: Tamam ibn Muhammad and Abu Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr and Abu Nasr ibn al-Jundi and Abu Bakr al-Qattan and Abu al-Qasim ibn Abi al-Aqib narrated to us, saying: Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Zur'ah al-Ra'in narrated to us, and Abu Muhammad ibn al-Ukfani narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Aziz al-Kattani narrated to us, saying: Tamam ibn Muhammad and Abd al-Rahman ibn Uthman and Aqil ibn Ubaydullah narrated to us, and Abu Muhammad ibn al-Ukfani narrated to us, saying: Abu al-Hasan ibn Abi Hadid narrated to us, saying: Abu Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr narrated to us, saying: Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, saying: Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Zur'ah narrated to us, saying: Marwan narrated to us from Sa'id ibn Abd al-Aziz from Isma'il ibn Ubaydullah
from al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid, who said: "I heard Umar ibn al-Khattab say to Abu Huraira, 'You will either stop narrating Hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), or I will send you to the land of Dus.'" And a word meaning "Dus" was missing from Abu Bakr's book, and he said to Ka'b: "You will either stop narrating Hadith, or I will send you to the land of the monkeys."
