- Abu al-Qasim ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, saying: Abu Ali ibn al-Madhhab verbally narrated to me, saying: Abu Bakr ibn Malik narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Ahmad, who said: My father narrated to me, from Ibn Numayr, from Uthman ibn Hakim, from Abu Umamah ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf
from Abdullah ibn Amr, who said: "We were sitting with the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) when Amr ibn al-As went to put on his clothes to shave my head. While we were with him, he said: 'A cursed man will surely enter upon you.' By Allah, I remained anxious and eagerly watching, both inside and outside, until such-and-such entered,' meaning al-Hakam."- Abu al-Qasim Zaher ibn Tahir narrated to us, saying: Abu Sa'id Muhammad ibn Ali al-Khashab narrated to me, saying: Abu Muhammad al-Mukhalladi narrated to me, saying: Musa ibn al-Abbas al-Juwayni narrated to us, from Abu Hatim, meaning al-Razi, from Dhurar ibn Surad, Abu Nu'aim, who narrated to me, saying: A'id ibn Jubayr narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid
from Abdullah al-Madani, who said: "I heard Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr say: 'Al-Hakam ibn Abi al-As used to sit with the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) spoke of something, he would say, 'This is how it is,' wrinkling his face. The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said to him, 'You are like this.' He said: 'He kept twitching until he died.'"
