- .... Al-Waqidi said: "In this year, Umar removed Qudamah ibn Muz'un from Bahrain, alone regarding the matter of intoxicants," and appointed Abu Huraira al-Dusi (ra) as the one in charge of Bahrain and al-Yamamah.

- .... In this year, in Medina, Bishr ibn Amr ibn Hanj waslu, known as al-Jarud, passed away. He had embraced Islam in the tenth year and was a respected and authoritative figure among Abd al-Qays. He is the one who testified against Qudamah ibn Muz'un that he drank alcohol, so Umar dismissed him from Yemen alone.
