He said to her: "Go and be patient." Then she came to him and said: "He strikes me." He took a gift from his robe
and then said: "Go to him with this. O Allah, deal with al-Walid."- Abu al-Qasim ibn al-Husayn informed us, saying: Abu Ali ibn al-Madhhab narrated to us, and they both said: Ahmad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, saying: Abdullah ibn Ahmad narrated to us, from Nasr ibn Ali and Ubaydullah ibn Umar, who both said: Abdullah ibn Dawud narrated to us, from Na'im ibn Hakim, from Abi Mariyam, from Ali, that the wife of al-Walid ibn Uqbah came to the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, al-Walid strikes me." Nasr ibn Ali said in his narration that she was complaining about him. He said: "Tell him: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) has granted me protection." Ali said: She did not remain away for long before she returned and said: "He has done nothing but strike me more." So he took a corner of his robe and gave it, saying: "Tell him that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) has granted me protection." Ibn al-Muqri added that Ali and they both said: She did not remain away for long before she returned to him

He said: "Tell him that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) has granted me protection." Ali said: She did not remain away for long before she returned and said: "He has done nothing but strike me." So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) took a corner of his robe and gave it to her, saying: "Tell him that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) has granted me protection, this is a corner of my robe." She stayed away for a while, then she returned
and said: "O Messenger of Allah, he has done nothing but strike me more." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) raised his hands and said: "O Allah, deal with al-Walid twice or thrice."
