- Abu Abdullah al-Farawi narrated to us, saying: Abu Bakr al-Bayhaqi narrated to us, saying: Abu Ali ibn Shazdan al-Baghdadi narrated to them, saying: Abdullah ibn Jaafar narrated to us, from Ya'qub, from Sufyan, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Zurqi, from the Zanjawi, from al-Ala ibn Abdul-Rahman, from his father
from Abu Huraira, that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "I saw in a dream the Banu al-Hakam or the Banu Abi al-As jumping on my pulpit like monkeys." He said, the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was not seen fully gathered and laughing until he passed away.- And Abu Abdullah al-Khallal narrated to us, saying: Ibrahim ibn Mansur narrated to us, from Abu Bakr ibn al-Muqri, who both said: My father Ya'qub narrated to us. And Abu al-Qasim Zaher ibn Tahir narrated to us, saying: Abu عثمان al-Buhairi narrated to me, from Ahmad ibn Ahmad, from my father Ya'qub, from Mus'ab, who added, ibn Hamdan ibn Abdullah narrated to us, and ibn Hamdan said: Ibn Abi Hazim narrated to me, from al-Ala, and ibn al-Muqri added, ibn Abdul-Rahman, from his father
from Abu Huraira, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) saw in a dream that the Banu al-Hakam were ascending and descending on his pulpit. He woke up looking somewhat annoyed and said, Zaher, looking annoyed or like one who is annoyed, "What is wrong with me? I saw the Banu al-Hakam jumping on my pulpit like monkeys." This concluded Zaher's narration.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was not seen fully gathered and laughing after that until his death.
