8529 - Among them is what Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Balwayh narrated to us, saying: Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal narrated to me, from my father, from Hajjaj ibn Muhammad, from Shu'bah, from Abu Hamzah, who said: I heard Humayd ibn Hilal narrate from Abdullah ibn Mutarif from Abu Barzah al-Aslami, who said: "The most distasteful creatures to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) were Banu Umayyah, Banu Hanifah, and Thaqif." This is a sound hadith according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and they did not include it in their compilations.
