388 - Al-Na'man ibn Thabit, Abu Hanifa al-Kufi, died in the year 150 AH. Na'im ibn Hammad narrated to us, saying: Yahya ibn Sa'id
and Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh both said, "We heard Al-Thawri say: Abu Hanifa was reinstated from disbelief twice."- Na'im narrated to us, saying: Al-Fazari narrated to me, "I was with Al-Thawri when the news of Abu Hanifa's death was announced. He said, 'Praise be to Allah,' and prostrated,
saying, 'He would have undermined Islam, pillar by pillar.'"- And he meant, Al-Thawri said,
"No one was born in Islam more ill-omened than him."- A friend of ours narrated to us from Hamdwayh, who said: I said to Muhammad ibn Muslima, "Why did Al-Na'man’s view not enter all the towns except for Medina?" He replied, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, 'The false messiah (Dajjal) and plague will not enter it,'
and he is a false messiah of the false messiahs.'"
