- And with this chain from Muhammad ibn Sulayman, from Ibrahim ibn Abdullah al-Sufi, who said: Musa ibn Bakr al-Wasiti told me, who said: Abu al-Hasan (peace be upon him) said to me: "If I were to distinguish my Shia, I would find them only describing (me), and if I were to test them, I would find them only as apostates. If I were to sift them, not one thousand would remain pure, and if I were to filter them, nothing would remain except what was mine. They have long depended on cushions," and said, "We are the Shia of Ali. The true Shia of Ali are those whose actions match their words."
Reason for the Weakness of the Narration: Ibrahim ibn Abdullah al-Sufi: is unknown, and you will not find any narration of his in the books of the Shia except for this narration.

Mawla Muhammad al-Mazandarani - Sharh Usul al-Kafi
Volume: (12) - Page Number: (305)
Explanation:
- His statement: "If I were to distinguish my Shi'a, I would not find them except as describers" ends here: Meaning, if I were to distinguish them from others, I would find them only as describers, affirming belief in Shi'ism, and this description was not found in others. They stand out from them through it. Then, regarding those who describe, if you were to test them and examine their conditions, you would find that most of them are nothing but apostates, diverting from my way, not following my commands, nor acting upon what is better for them. Then, among those who follow and act, if you were to scrutinize them and investigate the nature of their following, acting, and their morals with a certain level of scrutiny and refinement, you would find most of them to be insincere. Then, the sincere ones, who are very few, if you were to sift them and stir them with the sifting of trials, tribulations, snares, and hardships, you would find only a few remaining, those who were loyal to me and acted according to my way. This is echoed in the words of al-Sadiq (peace be upon him): "A believer is more precious than red sulfur." So, whoever among you sees red sulfur, and if you wish to understand the scarcity and rarity of believers, refer to the mentioned hadiths in the chapters on disbelief and faith in the book of Usul.
