Narrated Anas bin Malik:
saw Allah's Messenger (s.a.w.a.) when the `Asr prayer was due and the people searched for water to perform ablution but they could not find it. Later on (a pot full of) water for ablution was brought to Allah's Apostle . He put his hand in that pot and ordered the people to perform ablution from it. I saw the water springing out from underneath his fingers till all of them performed the ablution (it was one of the miracles of the Prophet).
Narrated Abu Juhaifa:
Allah's Messenger (s.a.w.a.) came to us at noon and water for ablution was brought to him. After he had performed ablution, the remaining water was taken by the people and they started smearing their bodies with it (as a blessed thing). The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) offered two rak`at of the Zuhr prayer and then two rak`at of the `Asr prayer while a short spear (or stick) was there (as a Sutra) in front of him.
Narrated Ibn Shihab:
Mahmud bin Ar-Rabi` who was the person on whose face the Prophet (S) had ejected a mouthful of water from his family's well while he was a boy, and `Urwa (on the authority of Al-Miswar and others) who testified each other, said, "Whenever the Prophet (S) , performed ablution, his companions were nearly fighting for the remains of the water."
Narrated Jabir:
Allah's Messenger (s.a.w.a.) came to visit me while I was sick and unconscious. He performed ablution and sprinkled the remaining water on me and I became conscious and said, "O Allah's Messenger (s.a.w.a.)! To whom will my inheritance go as I have neither ascendants nor descendants?" Then the Divine verses regarding Fara'id (inheritance) were revealed.
Anas reported that Allah's Apostle (s.a.w.a.) called for water and he was given a vessel and the people began to perform ablution in that and I counted (the persons) and they were between sixty and eighty and I saw water which was spouting from his fingers.
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
"I saw the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) at the time when the 'Asr prayer had drawn near, and the people were searching for water for Wudu, bu they did not find any. So the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) was brought some water for Wudu, and the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) put his hand in the container and ordered that the people make Wudu from it." He said: "So I saw water springing out from under his fingers. The people performed Wudu until the last of them made Wudu."
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Talha that Anas ibn Malik said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on one occasion when the asr prayer was at hand . Everyone was looking for water for wudu but no- one could find any. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, brought some water in a vessel . He put his hand into the vessel and then he told them all to do wudu from it." Anas added, "I saw water coming out from his fingers. Then all of them to the last man did wudu."
It was narrated that Anas said:
"I saw the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) when the time for 'Asr prayer had come. The people looked for (water for) Wudu' but they could not find any. Then some (water for) Wudu' was brought to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.). He put his hand in that vessel and told the poeple to perform Wudu', and I saw water springing from beneath his fingers, until they had all performed Wudu'."
It was narrated that Talq bin 'Ali said:
"We went out as a delegation to the Prophet (s.a.w.a.); we gave him our oath of allegiance and prayed with him. We told him that in our land there was a church that belonged to us. We asked him to give us the leftovers of his purification (Wudu' water). So he called for water, performed Wudu' and rinsed out his mouth, then he poured it into a vessel and said to us: 'Leave, and when you return to your land, demolish your church, and sprinkle this water on that place, and take it as a Masjid.' We said: 'Our land is far away and it is very hot; the water is far away and it is very hot; the water will dry up.' He said: 'Add more water to it, for that will only make it better.' So we left and when we came to our land we demolished our church, then we sprinkled the water on that place and took it as a Masjid, and we called the Adhan in it. The monk was a man from Tayy', and when he heard the Adhan, he said: 'It is a true call.' Then he headed toward one of the hills and we never saw him again."
