Volume: (2) - Page Number: (319)
[The text is lengthy, so only the relevant excerpt is provided here]
- .... And it was not reported that he (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) ordered the one who had sucked his blood to wash his mouth, nor that he washed his mouth from it, just as it was not reported that he commanded his nurse, Umm Aymaan, Barakah al-Habashiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), to wash her mouth, nor did she wash it after she drank his (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) urine.
Umm Aymaan (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) stood up at night and went to a pitcher, or something, under his bed and urinated in it. I got up, feeling thirsty, and drank what was in the pitcher without realizing it." When the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) woke up, he said: "O Umm Aymaan, go to that pitcher and pour out what is in it." She replied: "By Allah, I drank what was in it." Then he (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) laughed until his molars were visible and said: "Your belly will never swell with a 'jafr' (fullness) after this," or, in another wording, "Your belly will not enter the Fire," and in another, "You will not suffer from your belly," which indicates that he (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) may have said these three phrases, and each was narrated according to what was heard. Thus, these three matters could occur for Umm Aymaan (may Allah be pleased with her).
- .... And in a narration, instead of a pitcher, it was a container made of long, open stalks of palm trees. If this is authentic, it could be understood as multiple experiences for Umm Aymaan (may Allah be pleased with her), and there is no harm in it.
Also, a woman named Barakah bint Tha'labah ibn Amr drank his (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) urine. She served Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her), who came with her from Abyssinia, and that is why she was called Barakah al-Habashiyyah.
