359 - .... Al-Nasa'i said: In 'Amal al-Yawm wa al-Laylah, Yazid ibn Sinan narrated to us, Makki narrated to us from Malik, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar from Umar who said: "There were two forms of temporary enjoyment during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), which he prohibited and would punish those who engaged in them: the enjoyment of women and the enjoyment of pilgrimage." Al-Nasa'i said: This is an interrupted hadith, but I do not know of anyone else who narrated it besides Makki, and he is reliable. I do not know where he got it from.

Abu Tahir al-Dhahabi narrated to us, saying: Yahya ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ziyad narrated to us, saying: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Asim al-Ahwil, from Abu Nadrah from Jabir, who said: "There were two forms of temporary marriage that we engaged in during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). Umar forbade us from them, and we did not return to them." Muslim recorded it.
