- Abu al-Qasim ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, saying: Abu Ali ibn al-Madhhab narrated to me verbally, saying: Abu Bakr ibn Malik narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Ahmad, who said: My father narrated to me, from Ibn Numayr, from Uthman ibn Hakim, from Abu Umamah ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf
from Abdullah ibn Amr, who said: "We were sitting with the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) when Amr ibn al-As went to put on his clothes to shave my head. He said, 'And while we were with him, a man will come in, cursed.' By Allah, I remained anxious, looking out both inside and outside until so-and-so entered," meaning al-Hakam.- And from Abu al-Husayn ibn al-Abnusi, who said: Abu Bakr ibn Bayri narrated to me as a reading, both saying: Muhammad ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Khuwaythamah, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Salih al-Azdiy, from Amr ibn Hashim al-Hasani, from Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid,
from Amir, who said: "I heard Abdullah ibn al-Zubair, with his back propped against the Kaaba, saying: 'By the Lord of this Sacred House, indeed, al-Hakam ibn Abi al-As and his sons are cursed on the tongue of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny).' "
