- .... His statement: (You have turned back on your heels): .... Al-Tabarani narrated from the hadith of Jabir ibn Samurah, mentioning it as marfu: "May Allah curse whoever settles after his migration," except in times of trial, for settling is better than staying in a trial.

9300 - And from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "May Allah curse those who venture after the Hijrah! May Allah curse those who venture after the Hijrah!" except in a time of trial, for venturing is better than remaining in a trial. This was narrated by al-Tabarani, and in it are those I do not recognize.

2074 - Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hadhrami and Abdan ibn Ahmad said: Ahmad ibn Malik al-Ghubari narrated to us, and Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to me from Abu Muhammad al-Suwa'i, a descendant of Jabir ibn Samurah, from his uncle Harb ibn Khalid, from Maysarah, the client of Jabir ibn Samurah from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "May Allah curse anyone who settles after the Hijrah! May Allah curse anyone who settles after the Hijrah! May Allah curse anyone who settles after the Hijrah!" except in a time of trial, for settling is better than staying in a time of trial.

41594 - May Allah curse those who initiate (evil) after the Hijrah, and may Allah curse those who initiate (evil) after the Hijrah except in times of tribulation, for initiating in times of tribulation is better than remaining in it.
