- .... As for the prostration of the sheep to him, Abu Nu'aym narrated from the hadith of Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Firyabi, who said: Ibrahim ibn al-Alā' al-Zubaidi informed us, saying: Ibad ibn Yusuf al-Kindi narrated to us, saying: Abu Ja'far al-Razi told us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) entered a garden of the Ansar, and with him were Abu Bakr and Umar, along with men from the Ansar, and there were sheep in the garden that prostrated to him. Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah, we were more deserving of prostrating to you than these sheep." He replied, "It is not appropriate for my Ummah that anyone should prostrate to another. If it were appropriate for anyone to prostrate to another, I would have commanded a woman to prostrate to her husband."
