But when it sensed that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) had entered the courtyard, it would not stir as long as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was in the house, dislikeful of causing him distress."

- The story of the wild animal that was in the Prophet's (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) house and that respected (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) and revered him: Imam Ahmad said: Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, from Yunus, from Mujahid, who said: Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The family of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) had a wild animal. When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) would go out, it would play, grow vigorous, approach, and run back and forth. But when it sensed that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) had entered, it would crouch down and not move, as long as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was in the house, dislikeful of causing him harm." Ahmad also narrated this from Waki' and from Qattan, both of whom were narrating from Yunus, who was the son of Abu Ishaq al-Subi'i. This chain of narration is on the condition of Sahih (authentic), although they did not include it, and it is a well-known hadith. And Allah knows best.

- .... And al-Zubayr ibn Bakkar narrated in al-Mufaqiyyat, and Ibn Marduyah and al-Daylami from Ali that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was asked about those transformed (masukh) and he said: They are thirteen: the elephant, the bear, the swine, the monkey, the jiryath, the lizard, the bat, the scorpion, the dammous, the spider, the rabbit, Suhail, and Venus. It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the reason for their transformation?" He replied: "As for the elephant, he was a mighty, oppressive man who engaged in homosexuality and would not leave anything, wet or dry. As for the bear, she was a female who called people to herself. The swine was among the Christians who asked for the Table, and when it descended, they disbelieved. The monkeys were Jews who transgressed on the Sabbath. The jiryath was a man who acted as a lecher, enticing men to his mate. The lizard was a Bedouin who stole from pilgrims with his spear. The bat was a man who stole fruits from the tops of palm trees. The scorpion was a man from whom no one was safe from his tongue. The dammous was a gossiper who sowed discord between loved ones. The spider was a woman who enchanted her husband. The rabbit was a woman who could not purify herself from menstruation. Suhail was a tax collector in Yemen, and Venus was the daughter of one of the kings of the Children of Israel, with whom Harut and Marut were infatuated."
