2409 - Zuhair narrated to us, saying: Ibn Uyayna narrated to us, from Sulayman al-Ahwal, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said, "On Thursday—and what is Thursday?—a day when the pain increased upon the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and he said, 'Bring me a writing tool and paper, so I can write you a document that you will not go astray after it.'"
But they disputed, and it is not appropriate to dispute in the presence of a Prophet. He said, "Leave me, for what I am in is better than what you are asking about." He then commanded them with three things, saying, "Expel the polytheists from the Arabian Peninsula, and receive the delegations in a manner similar to how I used to receive them," and the third, "I do not know," he said, "either I forgot it or he did not say it."
